India all-rounder Hardik Pandya finally returned home after a long stint in the USA and West Indies and shared a heart warming moment with his son on social media.

After the felicitation, to chants of 'Rohit! Rohit!' inside the Vidhan Bhavan, addressing the legislators, the captain thanked the CM for his gesture and said 'It was our dream to win this World Cup. I am grateful to my team-mates because this was a team effort. I was also lucky that every player put his hand up in every match and got us victories.'

'You were the one who saw in him at a time when no one saw it.'

'Unless you're part of a winning team, you'll never truly grasp the sheer exhilaration and meaning behind this victory.'

All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja also posted a similar note of thanks for the police force.

Surrounded by the roar of the crowd and the watchful media, a slightly flustered Rohit, gently nudged her with a playful 'Bas Maa'.

Just months ago, the Mumbai Indians captain faced jeers from his home crowd during IPL 2024. On Thursday, the same stadium erupted in cheers as Hardik was hailed a hero for his crucial role in India's T20 World Cup victory.

Led by the retiring duo of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, the players danced to the electrifying tunes of Chak De India alongside a jubilant crowd.

It turned out to be a memorable evening for the players, many of whom experienced such a rapturous welcome for the first time in their lives.

In what was a goose bump-inducing moment, Kohli was seen encouraging the crowds to join in, who happily obliged, culminating into a magical collab.

'Rohit and I, we've been trying this for so long. We always wanted to win a World Cup. Bringing the trophy back to Wankhede is a very special feeling.'

The streets at Marine Drive, as well as the Wankhede Stadium, were packed with fans from as early as 3pm in anticipation of the arrival of their champions.

The gesture was made when the Indian team were hosted for breakfast at the PM's residence, 7, Lok Kalyan Marg, on their arrival from Barbados, early Thursday morning.

'See you soon, Wankhede,' Hardik tweeted a selfie with the World Cup trophy on his arrival at Mumbai airport.
